If you do something, you can only succeed if you do it with passion
Being able to rationalise identity and design means we can use our profession in a targeted manner for brands and organisations. We do this with a carefully composed team. With the right cultural values in a wonderful working environment. From experienced seniors to talented juniors. All with a great love for powerful strategies and excellent creativity. And above all, being successful together.
The Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) market is a clear area of expertise for us. For almost 30 years, we have been developing and vitalising brands, ranges and products of everyday products. In almost all categories. Food and non-food. National and international. From brand positioning or innovation platforms to effective packaging design. Or perfect artwork.
We see a retail environment as the real moment of truth as to whether your brand, identity or design is effective. This is often a tough challenge because the retail market is very dynamic and subject to constant evolution. A challenge that we are well equipped to handle thanks to our experience in developing private label positioning, portfolio strategies, visual identities and packaging design.
The corporate market affects us because it often concerns the soul and inspiration of an organisation. In this day and age, identity management is crucial for optimising values. However, the transformation bridge that needs to be built is usually too fragmented, too one-sided and without sufficient stakeholder engagement.
A niche segment, but always special to work for. Especially because brand image, visual identity and refined design play an important role in this. We have built up expertise, particularly in medium-sized and small luxury consumer products, and are able to realise exclusivity, status, aesthetic value and target group seduction.
Insights & directions
Whether it concerns a portfolio, brand, identity or design, it all starts with vision and insight. At the right level and in the right way. Anywhere in the world. In a so-called find phase of a project, we like to look for relevant insights. The methods for this are very diverse. Sometimes pragmatic fieldwork in the store, online or with workshops can work wonders, but sometimes you need to do broader and deeper research.
The various core insights mainly start the work we are all doing it for: finding directions for possible solutions and unexpected (but pleasant) additional potential. It is mainly about the broader perspective we believe in and for which support can also be found among the customer. And it gives positive resonance to the target group.
In the beginning
Big idea & building blocks
From the Find phase, we move to the Focus phase. This is based on what we have found as potential solutions or on the strategy provided by the customer. In this phase, we mainly look for the strategic and creative big ideas. For example, a brand positioning, brand identity, visual identity, verbal identity, corporate identity concept or packaging design concept. The big ideas are filtered down to their essence and then presented in a clear story in text and images to everyone, which triggers them emotionally.
We then work out the big ideas that we, together with the customer, believe in as the strongest solutions in the various building blocks. This is to ensure that we are certain that we will actually achieve various objectives. Or to test during research for the best effect and receive feedback on where it could possibly be improved.
2D & 3D design
Our origins lie in the design profession and that is still the core of our existence. From the Focus phase, we will make things truly tangible in the Feel phase. Apart from the pleasure we get from our job, design has the rewarding role of touching people immediately. But it has to hit the right spot right away. And that is precisely where our expertise lies. This is thanks to our experience, but also to the methods we use. And how we involve customers in the design process.
We mainly design in 2D, for offline and online applications in FMCG, retail and corporate markets. But we also do 3D regularly, from packaging to shop interiors. This phase also involves the development of various forms of creative content. This includes illustrations, photos, animations or digital mock-ups. Ultimately, the design is delivered in such a technical manner that it's easy to use for other creative or production parties.
